Team Coaching
Helping teams create the space to think, align, and move forward together.
Teams are often under pressure to deliver, respond, and keep moving. At that pace, there’s rarely time to pause and reflect on how the team is working and what might need to change. Many teams are facing changes to their structure or organisational demands and often don’t have time to set their own team charter or ways of working as effectively as they would like.

Team coaching creates that space. It offers a structured, psychologically-informed environment where teams can step back, think more clearly, and have the conversations that are often left unsaid.

The Focus

My work with teams centres on the dynamics that shape how they function day to day, whilst also allowing space for developing their strategic and collaborative working for their future. This includes:

-
Alignment around purpose, priorities, and direction
-
The quality of conversation, challenge, and decision-making
-
Trust, relationships, and psychological safety
-
Navigating change, uncertainty, and competing demands
-
Understanding each other and how they can work together most effectively
-
How the team connects with the wider organisation
The focus is not just on what the team is doing, but on how it is working together, and what will enable it to be more effective.

My Approach

I bring a combination of occupational psychology and coaching, creating a space that is:

-
Reflective – giving the team time to step back from immediate pressures
-
Compassionate – recognising the human side of work and relationships
-
Challenging – supporting honest, constructive conversations
-
Forward-focused – helping the team move towards meaningful change
Clients often describe the experience as both supportive and stretching, a space where they feel understood, while also being encouraged to think differently.

How We Work Together

Each engagement is shaped around the team and its context, but typically includes:

-
Initial conversation and scoping
Understanding the team, its challenges, and what would be most useful -
Diagnostic
Individual conversations to surface themes and perspectives. Team member assessments and analysis. -
Facilitated team sessions
Creating space to reflect, explore dynamics, and work through real issues -
Follow-up and integration
Report of sessions including recommendations to support the team to embed changes into everyday ways of working
This might take place as a focused piece of work, or over a number of months to support deeper, sustained change.
Each piece of work is tailored, and I’m always happy to scope something that feels right for your team.

Outcomes
Teams I work with often notice:

-
Greater clarity and shared understanding
-
More open and honest conversations
-
Stronger relationships and trust
-
Improved decision-making
-
A clearer sense of direction and momentum
